This is our precious baby "Dannie". She woke up with this toy on her neck so I just had to get this picture. "Dannie" is going to be staying with us as she so far is a great show prospect. She has the best personality there every was. She is so playful and yet sweet as can be.She loves everybody she meets and can't wait to chew on them! When she gets a bit bigger I will post pictures of her so we all can see how beautiful my little clown is turning out.

This is one of those times to remember. On this day Dec. 14th,2006 Judge Ms. Ann Hearn must have really liked the breeding I do because, Nite Winds In Your Dream's "Ralley" , Swathrun Nite Winds Shes's So Hot "Shine", and Nite Winds Hot Autumn Nite's "Elliott", all won ! "Ralley" won Winners Dog, "Shine" won Winners Bitch, Best of Winners and Best of Oppisite Sex and then "Elliott" won Best Bred-By-Exhibitor to go on and win a Group Three in the Bred-By-Exhibitor Group. This is a Great Day to remember for me as all the Winners were dogs that I bred. Monday, November 27

Yes he did it ! In the short time of two months My Beautiful Liver-roan male "Dawson", now goes by Champion Nite Winds Promise's Best Kept. I am so very proud of him and his accomplishments. This past weekend in Crete , Illinois he won "Best of Breed "both days from the classes with a Champion present. It was very exciting for both of us. Now he will take a little break from the shows to grow up a bit before starting his new career as a Champion in 2007. Friday, May 26

I started my dog career in 1986 when I purchased my first AKC English Springer Spaniel, Daystar's Kimmie Sue. Kimmie was my "foundation" bitch and with her I began Nite Winds Kennels. I bred, raised, and field trained Springer Spaniels for several years before I bought my first English Cocker Spaniel, "Glimmer" in 1993. I then bred her to Ch. Lynann's Risky Business ECM. I kept a male and female puppy, Ch. Nite Winds Fade-to-Blackk ("Bentley") and Ch. Nite Winds Quite the Limit ("Cara"). Quite the Limit ("Cara") become my foundation bitch and where it all began with my love of English Cockers. Meanwhile I started working for a veterinarian in Antioch, Illinois, where I was trained to be a veterinarian's assistant. I stayed in that job for three years, learning so much as the months went by. It was truly a great experience and it gave me a strong knowledge of canine health. At that point I decided I wanted to groom my own English Springers and English Cockers. In 1988 I enrolled in dog grooming school. I then moved to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin where I currently live and run Nite Winds Kennels. I went back to being a vet's assistant and started grooming out of my home in 1996. Ten years later I am still running a dog grooming business and I have started a small dog boarding business as well. In my breeding program I first and foremost breed for health and then temperament. These are the most important things in my mind and philosophy, for both show dogs and family pet dogs. My English Cockers are happy, merry, sweet, loving and affectionate dogs. I promise to keep breeding for these qualities. I am also one of the very few breeders who have been blessed with being able to consistently produce "liver-roan" English Cockers. This is one of my distinctive advantages in the show world. I now have four liver-roan champions, a very hard color to win with. We have started winning at some very prestigious shows. At the International Kennel Club of Chicago in 2005, my liver-roan boys won two of the four days. Finishing to his AKC Championship was Ch. Nite Wind's A Promise Kept ("Reese"). And the day before Ch. Nite Winds Shades of Autumn, "Logan" won a major set of points towards his championship, finishing to his AKC championship a month later. For the past 13 years I have been successful in the dog show world. I have had help every now and then, but for the most part I groom and show my own dogs. I currently have 16 champions and several more are well on their way to being AKC Champions. Friday, February 17

My English Cocker, Dusty, is the smartest dog I have ever known. She came from the Nite Winds Kennels and I have found it so easy to train her to do just about anything. She learned to ring the bell on the back door to ask to go out in ten minutes. (Now she rings it, goes out for 10 seconds, and comes back in for a treat.) We tried to keep her in a pen, but she learned to climb over.
